Ernst & Young Leader Mark Weinberger

Over the course of his career in the field of tax law and policy, Mark Weinberger has established himself as one of the most prominent tax policy professionals in the United States. After several years in the national tax department of Ernst & Young, Mark Weinberger became the chief of staff of the 1994 Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement and Tax Reform and served on the United States Social Security Advisory Board. During this time, Mark Weinberger gained considerable tax policy experience, which he utilized to co-found Washington Counsel, P.C. in 1996.

After several years with the legislative advisory firm, Mark Weinberger merged Washington Counsel, P.C. into Ernst & Young and became the head of the EY United States National Tax Practice. Today, Mark Weinberger serves on the Global Executive at EY and will become the firm’s chief executive officer and global chairman in July 2013.
