An experienced tax and legal professional based in Washington, DC, Mark Weinberger will become the global chairman and chief executive officer of professional service provider at Ernst & Young in July 2013. After graduating from Case Western University with a JD/MBA, he started his career as an entry-level employee in the national tax department of Ernst & Young. During his time with EY, Mark Weinberger acquired a wealth of experience in the field of tax law and later accepted an offer to become the chief tax and budget counsel for Senator John C. Danforth of Missouri.

After several years with Senator Danforth, Mark Weinberger received an appointment from President Bill Clinton to lead the Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement and Tax Reform in 1994. He also held a seat on the United States Social Security Advisory Board, where he developed his interests in topics such as taxes, entitlements, and large budget issues. He is widely recognized as one of the foremost tax policy authorities in the United States.
